:: The Bar
We're in a little seaside town this morning that's got 5 surf shops, 12 coffee shops, a handful of fish and chip stands and only about 20 people about this morning. We're within a couple of hours of Auckland so I imagine this place must get rocking during the summer holidays but it's as quite as a mouse today. The real asset of this little seaside village lies at the entrance to it's harbour and is up there with the best river mouth surf breaks in the world. It's a little onshore and the tide is a touch high this morning but even still we scored 300 metre peeling lefts. The bar bank here is extraordinary and it gets you wondering what'd be like at its best. Pretty amazing I can imagine.
The weekend forecast is for a fresh swell on the West Coast and good winds for the East where we are now. Decisions decisions.
