Ah the South End... where the action is intense and frantic. A hundred swimmers in pink caps, the clubby crew doing in's & out's, the body surfers and the dippers and, when the conditions are right, the loggers threading the needle through the whole scene in the rush to get some before the flags are raised and a semblance of order descends upon South Steyne. I've always liked a rowdy, kind of circus.

There's still some NE swell on the sea today slightly ruffled by an early sou-easter. It's decent conditions for the corners tucked away beneath the southern headlands.
