As You Were

After three days of waves in the upper ranges of downright perfect to super fun things are almost back to normal.  Relax, you can sit comfortably in your chair at the desk relieved in the knowledge that you're not missing much today.  There were plenty of pre-dawn surfers willing to get out amongst it super early to try and keep the stoke alive but the highlight was probably the clean crisp air and a beautiful autumn sunrise. The swell has faded and what's left is pretty much closing out on the low-tide banks. Oh yeah, there's the odd corner but nothing on the last three days. I'm still going through the files but keep an eye out for a special gallery on Facebook with the highlights in the next day or so. Tsunami Paddle Western Australian stalwart and all round good bloke Murray Jacobs is making an effort to help out those that were affected by the Tsunami in the Mentawai's in 2010.  The Mentawai's hold a special place in so many surfer's hearts and minds so it's only fitting that surfers should reach out and give them a hand.  Murray is paddling his Sampan from Perth to Rottnest Island in a bid to raise awareness and funds for SurfAid's tsunami appeal.  Check out his story and help out where you can at Everyday Hero.

Bit of South Swell bumping in for the weekend.  Have a good one.
