Abuzz
The internet is abuzz with speculation that there’s a bomb South Swell a brewing. There’s chit chat on social media siting forecasts in the +10ft range! Hard to believe if this morning is any indication (which it’s probably not a good indicator). There was hardly a murmur of swell this morning; only an underlining 1 footer on the very northern stretch of Queenscliff.
But, the wind is howling right now and Thredbo have had 50cm of fresh snow, two pretty good indicators the Southern Tasman will come alive. As they say, when it dumps, it pumps!
Tomorrow we’re forecast to see a rapid jump in South swell but there’ll be a fair degree of West in the direction, not so good for Manly. On Sunday the swell’s going to peak at 10ft and it’ll be coming in from the SSE, a better direction for the Northern Beaches. There’ll be options from small in the southern corners to triple overhead if that’s more you’re flavour.
Catch you on the other side!
