What a treat to paddle out and see current world number 6 Ace Buchan breeze through the local - all smiles and solid surfing.

And what a morning for it! Sure yesterday was bigger, but the drop in swell has settled that horrendous rip and it's actually possible to get in position for a set wave. There were still some legitimate set waves too -  4ft and hollow! The best morning of waves I've seen at Queenscliff for a while!

The swell's slowly easing throughout today and tomorrow but the wind will remain reasonably friendly.  It's well worth getting your wave count up while you can!
