Day Nine
What's the link between COVID outbreaks and swell? Seems like every time the COVID cases spike an East swell ramps up and serves us up a run of waves just to keep us occupied and grateful. We've got it good here, there's no doubt but the citizens are getting restless and after the seeing the number of people hanging out in Manly over the weekend, let's hope there wasn't a sneaky case or two lurking in the crowds. It was as busy as a weekend in summer on and off the water.
This morning the East-Nor-East swell kicked up a notch or two and synched up with a particularly shallow bit of sand at North Steyne. The waves I saw this morning were as thick and wide as I've seen at home for a long while. So many barrels, a heap of broken boards and all the exercise you wanted. I swam for 2 hours in the sand soup and I'm just about done for the day!
Carry on...
