Bit of a funny morning out there for me this morning. I spent a fair bit of it in front of a camera rather than the safe space behind the camera that I'm accustomed to. There's fun waves around today; it's way better than I was expected and vast contrast from yesterday's onshore conditions. Let's call it 2-3ft, clean and peaky on the high tide; super fun for a twin or anything with a bit more foam. Fun city!

Early this week I received a phone call from Jamie at Perfect Wave Travel saying they had a last-minute charter come up in the Maldives Central Atolls departing 8 May. It's 9 day, 9 night one-way boat trip from the Central Atolls back to Male onboard Carpe Diem, a seriously comfortable vessel that rarely offers a one-way charter. I've only been to the Central Atolls once previously and the region is home to some of the funnest, longest waves in the Maldives, perfect for the kind of boards that I like to ride.
