Remember Long weekends? Packing the car, getting out of town with the family and friends; you'd get that extra day or two off but they still felt so like they went so fast. This one's not going to be like that. Forget about slipping up the coast; no friend visits and limited outside time. It'll probably feel like the longest weekend of them all! - but you're alive! 

The beaches are closed except for exercising and car parking is limited to 1 hour, no exceptions. Surf, walk, run, swim and GO HOME! You'll hear that over the loud speaker every half hour just in case you lull yourself into thinking you're on holidays! 

COVID-19 sucks in so many ways. The endless stream of news of infections and death tolls from here but especially abroad is heartbreaking. Right now we're the lucky country in so many ways. Very few of us have had to say goodbye to mums, dads, grandparents or friends prematurely. Let's do our best to keep it that way and move respectfully through the neighbourhood when we're outside. Com'on, we can do it!. 

Support Local - Surf Shops
Where would we be without our favourite surf shops? I mean these guys buy your new favourite surfboard and store it in their racks before you knew you even needed a new surfboard! And, all for the same margin as selling a handful of t-shirts! Man, we have to support these guys or there'll be no fondling of foam prior to purchase - Imagine! Aloha Manly are still trading but have strict limits to customers and Keel Surf & Supply over the hill have gone fully online.
