Edwards Beach
It's a real nice morning out there! We're talking warm sunshine, blue sky and light winds; Sydney with her best spring dress on. On days like this when the waves are tiny and the wind is already ruffling the ocean at dawn, the Harbour beaches come into their own. This morning I went with the traffic flow and took a left half-way to the city for a swim at Edwards Beach.
Edwards Beach is a beautiful little tree-lined stretch of sand separated from Balmoral Beach by Rocky Point Island. I always thought it was just the northside of Balmoral Beach, but hey, you learn something every day! This morning the water was cool and clear, especially in the northern corner up under the old fig trees. If you haven't taken the detour, add it to your beach bucket list for the spring/summer. Take your towel, take your googles, take your keepcup and take your time - it's worth it.
Tomorrow we're in for a strong southerly change and a bit of rain; better go soak up some sun!
