Twilight has always one of my favourite times of the day, but after consecutive hot days and warm, still nights, there's no better comfort than stepping out into the glow of cool dawn air. This morning I made my way to North Curl Curl Rockpool, semi-concealed under the cliffs on the fringes of North Curl Curl Headland. It's a quiet, natural pool with a rock island in the centre and calm, shallow water disturbed only by the odd overtopping wave and occasional swimmer. It's one of my favourites of the Northern Beaches rockpool's for swimming and shooting.
We're in for another warm day in Sydney with a top of 31. The wind's a light offshore right now and there's some residual nor'east wind swell making for clean, small wave conditions. Curl Curl wasn't amazing on the higher tide at first light, but word on the street is it's been fun of late. Enjoy!
Light southerly change coming tomorrow should offer some cool relief.
