Gold Rush
This morning caught me by surprise. After watching the green & gold rush on the streets of Paris I wandered out into the Sydney sunrise chuffed but thinking there'd be no waves... but it's amazing what one foot of swell can present when the direction is right and the sandbanks are in good nick. The Freshie grommets were all over whatever they could get their hands and feet on and were making the most of an interesting wedge.
It's high-energy in the water over at Freshwater on Thursday when surfing's up-and-comers fall under the watchful gaze of coach Jarrad Howse. The standard is red hot whether the waves are knee-high or double overhead and this morning was no different.
