Smoke Haus

Smokey

There's a good little band of grommets that have made the southern corner of Freshwater their own over the last few seasons. Whether it's high-tide reforms on the inside or sandy little slabs out the back, the grommets have made their mark on waves most of us happily overlook. And under the watchful eye of Jarrad Howse the pack is progressing at a rapid rate. Watch this space, there may be some future pros emerging from the Haus of Claus.

It was a smokey dawn out there today with the eyes and nostrils taking in the smoke as soon as you walked out the door . I assume it's hazard reduction burns taking place in preparation for what's be touted as a serious summer ahead... brought back memories of the Black Summer of a few years back.

Once again, the morning session had a severe case of the low-tides. There's a bit of a bump in nor'east wind swell so if you can find a bank on the rising tide before the onshore's, I reckon there's fun to be had.
