Sultry
Sultry Start
Too warm and humid to sleep in this morning; not that I've been doing much of that lately. Outside the air was thick and steamy with the temperature nudging towards 22 degrees at 5am. No wonder everyone was out and about early.
While the waves were lacklustre once again, the sunrise against a backdrop of heavy clouds and humid air was a good one. The kind of clouds that hang around on these still, sultry mornings always have plenty of texture and unpredictable character.
Chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and a sunny warm day tomorrow. It's starting to feel a bit like summer.
For those in the city that enjoy an afternoon talking surf and conservation, the local chapter of Surf Conservation is hosting a fundraising event next Friday 15 November. Wayne 'Rabbit' Bartholomew will be there as well as a live cross to Kai Lenny to talk surf and environment. Funds raised will go towards protecting the pristine waves and ecology of Sumba. - Tickets and info here
