Morning! You miss your dose of Sprout Daily yesterday? Soz. Nah, I didn't sleep in, although with the cool change in the weather it's been tempting for sure. I decided to flip my usual routine and swap sunrise for moonrise. That gave me a chance to surf at first light yesterday morning. I tell you, there's a really simple joy in paddling out in the near darkness and watching the light fill the sky perched upon a slither of foam and fiberglass.

Late yesterday I met up with local talent and WSL Longboard Tour surfer Tully White for a sunset moonrise session. The waves weren't exactly conducive to 9 footers (1ft short period closeout) but there's a reason Tully's on the tour, she surf's with lighting fast footwork and all the style and grace required to make surfing junky, rippy closeouts look good!

The Full moon will be rising just after sunset tonight - I reckon it'll be worth a look...
