10 / 10
What a weekend we've just had in Sydney! Saturday was a 10 out of 10 day. From sunrise to sunset I didn't see a cloud in the sky, all the while the wind blew a light offshore grooming 2 foot of peaky east swell through water clarity and temperature usually reserved for the tropics. Everything was in picture perfect; even the moonrise over a silvery ocean early in the evening looked like a dream. Nature put on a show for us.
I had a chance to take a helicopter flight over The Beach around noon on Saturday while testing out Nikon's Z9 mirrorless camera. The of view with the doors off from 1000ft on Saturday was spectacular! Crystal clear water, a buzzing harbour and what looked like most of Sydney's residents finding a slice of sand and saltwater to cool off in; it was one of the best flights I've even had. For the gear-heads; the Z9 is Nikon's flagship mirrorless camera and can shoot full-frame RAW continuously (and silently) at 20fps on a 45MP sensor - crazy numbers! I dialled it down to 12 fps and still ended up with over 3000 files in just over an hour. Little wonder I'm still editing at noon on Monday - but the good news is the file are beautiful with outstanding detail.
All pictures from today's post are from Saturday between noon and 1pm. If you think you might be a picture and/or want to purchase a print get in touch via email or DM me on Instagram, I'll be posting more there over the coming days.
Today, the wind's up from the east-nor'east. It's a nice day out there and the crowds are all back at school and work...
