Change

It's cool out there today!
That southerly change that swept over Sydney late yesterday has flattened our fun little NE swell and bumped 10 degrees from the air temperature. At least it's put an end to the upwelling and the cold water that's surfaced from the deep is warming up. I reckon the last couple of days were colder than it was all winter! 17 degrees? Maybe colder!

If surfing is on your agenda today then it might be best to reschedule. The last of the NE swell seemed to fade before my eyes between 6 and 8am this morning. By the time I left the beach there was hardly a surfable wave breaking.

The Cup? I think I'll give it a miss this year and dream of South American tubes instead. Catch you tomorrow.
