Winter Rhythm
Things feels like they've settled into a typical Sydney winter rhythm. We've got enduring offshore's, clouds hanging about and temps hovering below 20 degrees (and much cooler at dawn). This morning there's even a threat of rain but the sun managed to sneak between the clouds for a brief moment adding a little colour and drama to the sky. Always nice to see the sun on a morning like today.
I had a swim down near where The Snowy will run this weekend and close to where the first World Surfing Championships ran 60 years ago. Tom Bennett was out surveying the sandbank riding a beautiful 1967 Wayne Burton shaped Bennett longboard. The history of surfing in Australia runs deep on this stretch of sand. Check out the replica 1964 Bennett Surfboard inspired by Midget Farrelly that's up for grabs in the fundraising raffle - Anyone can buy tickets and support the Manly Malibu Boardriders Club
Couple of fun waves about this morning and slightly more peaky than the last few day. Worth a gander I reckon...
