Out Early
It's steamy out there today! There's a curtain of humid air hanging over the beach and even before sunrise, the sweat was beading on my brow. Lucky we have the sweet, cool waters of the Tasman to refresh the soul and rinse the body. According to the Manly Hydraulic's Lab the ocean temperature offshore is nudging 24˚. Warm as that may be, it's refreshing enough when humidity is upwards of 60 percent.
There were high hopes for waves this morning although what was delivered might have slipped below expectations. We had a very brief puff of wind from the west early but it wasn't enough to groom out the bumps. Still, the swell's up a touch on yesterday and faces are clean enough. Worth a paddle even if it's just for the rinse.
Have a good one.
