The Wozzle

The Wozzle is in town

Yesterday I noted that the talent pool of loggers on that bank out at North Steyne seemed to have expanded. Nothing unusual that surfers of mark turn up as rumours of a good bank start to disseminate. It wasn't until later in the day I found out there was a one day WSL Longboard event going to be held at Manly this Friday; yep, tomorrow! The Wozzle has quietly snuck back into town.

The contest is the Manly Longboard Classic, a LQS1000 event to settle the rankings leading into the World Longboard Tour kicking off in Huntington in late July. Locals tour surfers Tully White and Declan Wyton have already qualified for the full World Tour but a local wildcard spot will be hotly contested tomorrow.

The waves are small today but it's a perfect little log bank. Hopefully a little more south swell sneaks in around the corner tomorrow for the comp. Get down and support the locals.
