As the adage goes, red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning and today we had a quick blast of rich colour as the sun edged its way through the clouds. There's rain afoot but it hasn't found us yet. It's not far off though; a quick glance at the rain radar says it'll probably be raining by the time you read this. Hope you packed the brolly!

With the shift in weather, we've had a favourable change in swell direction. It's swung around to a more easterly direction and there's an overall increase of energy in the water. First time in a week or so that you might want to dust off the shortboard.
