March Wrap
Freshwater Reflected
This morning's post is a flashback through the month that's been. March has been warm, probably the warmest month in a couple of years, maybe longer. We had 8 days over 30 degrees and 16 days when the minimum temp didn't drop below 20 overnight! It's been a month of swimming and small wave surfing; the banks have been good for longboards, mid-lengths and my craft of choice, twin-fins. There's even been a few days of sustained longer period east swell... and tubes!
March was a good month for the harbourside where hot days were rinsed off in the pools and beaches of Sydney Harbour late into the evening with a cool beverage and a picnic. I reckon March has felt more like summer than summer did.
As we slide further into Autumn there's a heap to look forward to: crisp, clean offshore winds, the start of energetic swells out of the south, cooler nights, better sleeps, no jellyfish.
I'm out of town today for some family stuff so I don't know what the waves are like this morning; hopefully there's one last magic March day unfolding in Sydney.
Have a good weekend. Reminder - go check out the MISFIT / World Meets Massive Warehouse Sale on over at Brookie - it’s started!
