Heat Wave

Freshwater & Flowers

How about that weekend? What a scorcher! A pair of the hottest days in recent memory, thankfully they fell over the course of a weekend. Officially we might not have tipped 40 degrees (39.8 degrees both days) in Manly but there were plenty of car thermometers blowing well over the 40. Meanwhile Sydney Airport was up close to 42! That's going to slow you down no matter where you're going.

In the shade with intermittent dips in the ocean was the only way to spend the weekend. The waves were offshore and fun, the water was a cool 20+ degrees. Perfect boardshort and bikini surfing conditions if you had half a tube of sunscreen to spare.

Late yesterday the southerly came through with only a little disturbance and a collective sigh of relief and today we're going to creep to a top of 23 degrees. Sounds good to me. Want to surf?  There's still a little wind swell sneaking in to the south corner if you don't mind a slight ruffle.

Enjoy the cool change...
