Brrrrr

First Light

Brrrr, wasn't that a chilly start to the day! Best place to escape that brisk offshore was underwater where the temps are still nudging just above 20. I dove in for a swim on first light and it felt like winding the clock back a few months to mid-spring - it's balmy in and the cold wind can't get you underwater!

While the cold air is a little tough to take, the clear air and all-day offshore conditions are well received gifts of winter. The weekend was a stunner with lines of east and south swell, sunshine and beautiful, offshore conditions all day. This morning the east swell has dropped a touch but there still looked like some lumps from the south going past us out to sea. The wind's supposed to kick up form the west later today and blow hard for the next day or two.

Rug up, it's going to feel chilly!
