Solid!
There's a whole lot of swell out there this morning but finding a decent wave is a different matter altogether. The swell was maxing out around dawn at 4 metres with outlying swells over 7metres. That's solid! From a vantage high above Fairy Bower you could see big lumps of swell travelling perpendicular to the coast with only straight lines of refracted energy wrapping into Manly. It's a challenging swell direction for us.
Still, every now and then something would pop up somewhere along the beach with just enough angle to offer half a chance of a hollow left or right. I didn't see many but hey, no one ever got tubed watching from the carpark.
According to the buoy's, the swell's already on a downward trajectory so I reckon some options might open up later in the day. Good luck out there! Apparently it's going to be small tomorrow - go figure?!
