After the weekend of showers and strong southerly wind's, a light sou'westerly was just the ticket we needed to clean things up, iron out the lumps and make the beaches surfable again. There was even a moment of colour and sunshine to squint into if you were out early enough. There's still plenty of grunty swell from the south east; just choose what you paddle for wisely as the shallow banks were making the closeouts pretty treacherous.
