You don't have to set your alarm to be up for the early these day; sunrise is at 7:04am so the first light glow starts around 6:30, which would have been a sleep-in a couple of months back. After missing yesterday's brief blast of colour (went to yoga for a much needed stretch) I was determined to be ready if the sky lit up again this morning... and it didn't disappoint. 

This morning's sunrise was a good one; plenty of high clouds catching colour making for quality light and great contrast and texture. On the other hand, the waves at first light were a little average with a strong rip ruffling the surface and shifting volumes of water across the sandbank... it did seem to be improving as I left the beach though.

We've got light winds and possible showers on the forecast meaning there's probably smooth conditions in the works all day.
