Delight

Tully treading lightly

Morning! What a day we've got out there! The weather has been pretty nice the last little while... a touch crisp early but by mid-morning the autumn sunshine and super-light winds have been a real delight; the evenings have been pure stillness and glass. The Tasman has a bit of long-period energy rippling up from the south-east. If you can find the right bank at the right moment on the tide there's fun waves to be had.

This morning's swim was a bit of a mission with heaps of water swirling around a deep gutter and shallow bank; one minute the waters pulling out and to the north, the next moment it's dragging in and to the south; I was at the mercy of the current. When the waves hit at the right angle it was pretty amazing. The trick was finding yourself in the right spot, (either on a board or swimming with a camera)!  Well worth the challenge but you could easily leave empty handed. Good luck with it.
