L Plates
A little bit of sunshine, a lighty ruffled surface and a couple of runners served up before breakfast this morning. It wasn't pumping... at least it wasn't where I swam out. There's supposed to be some long-period south swell energy about but there wasn't much wrapping into Manly.
I seriously had my L-Plates on with the water housing this morning. I had the focus setting's all wrong and somehow switched from shooting RAW files to jpegs. At some staged I even managed to switch from colour to black and white files. My nose must taken the executive decision to start pressing all the buttons. Ah well, every mistake is a step closer to getting it right and (hopefully) a lesson or two was learnt this morning.
In the end I think I was lucky to come away with a handful of pictures. Sorry to everyone who's wave I missed...Tully especially got a good one right in front of me. 😬
The Rip Curl Bells Beach Pro is on down in Torquay. The GOAT is back and North Steyne's George Pittar has qualified for the main event thanks to a win in the trials. Waves looked really fun - tune in live here!
Back at it tomorrow.
