Solid East Sets

Tough morning out there. The paddle out looked like a lottery with masses of water moving and rips pulling onto shallow churning sandbanks. It was a game of luck and perseverance; and you needed a health dose of each! Tough conditions to shoot as well with a thick haze of salty air and a grimy glare in all directions.

The swell has pushed up into the double-overhead-plus range out of the east and there's a light offshore breeze. Usually a good combo for us however the swell's bit too raw at the moment. The good news is the swell's going to slowly trail off over the coming days under offshore winds. Give it half a day or so and I reckon we're going to be on.
