Good Afternoon from Bond Eye Beach. I like coming over this side of the city, there's always something going on. The sand's bright white and without the Norfolk pines there's a full sky of blue just about anywhere on the beach giving the light a very different quality to Manly. This morning I've been here to shoot Wipeout Dementia, a friendly surf contest raising money for research into Dementia - they've raised over a million dollars so far!

Apart from 50kph of howling westerly wind it's a pretty nice day outside. The sun out and the wind is warm and dry but it's pretty much flattened the surf. Don't worry, it'll be back tomorrow!

Newport Market Day is on over the weekend and Glass Ave along with The Critical Slide Society will have the funkiest stand on the block. Get down, grab some early Christmas presents and soak up the village vibes.
