Isolated Together
You don't need me to tell you things have ramped up a notch or two over the weekend. What was last week invisible, is coming into plain sight and there's only one thing for certain; we're all in this together. As a community, as a state and as a species. We're all going to be affected in some way, shape or form. It's mind boggling, scary, frustrating and heartbreaking all at once.
Over the weekend we saw beaches closed all across Sydney and after Friday's scenes of disregard for the situation at hand it's little wonder. The CLOSED sign's are up in Manly this morning but with surfer/swimmer numbers low (probably because of the southerly as well as the escalation in the situation) the lifeguards weren't enforcing the closures. It was nice to see people finding some space to go about their morning rituals safely. It's going to be different for a while...
For now, I'm going to keep posting while maintaining a low-profile. It's my morning ritual and while I can, hopefully the posts can bring some light to your day. I'll still be producing prints through the local print lab and sending business to Manly Art & Framing while I can. I know a lot of local shops and cafes/bars have had to close down today and will be operating online-only from now on. Stay tuned for some local profiles as the shutdowns rollout - we've got to support and stay safe together!
If you're wondering how you're going to stay fit while the shutdown's in place, checkout the KIXXFIT app - Think of it as the Spotify for fitness. If you're a local gym, coach or trainer you can join and keep your classes running. Download Now - It's FREE.
Stay safe
