Unfazed
It's a cool blustery morning out there, we've got the odd shower and the beach is teeming with competitors in town for the NSW Surf Life Saving Championships from Queenscliff to Manly. The State Championships haven't had a smooth run in Manly the last couple of years with big storms, poor water quality and COVID putting the brakes on proceedings. This year a rogue Manly Lagoon has already claimed some of the beach arena. But, things should run a little more favourable from here.
Deep in the southern corner the daily comings and goings continued unfazed by weather or special events. In fact there was a relative calm about South Steyne this morning; the last bastion of normality and a nice spot for a swim or a paddle before the flags were raised.
