Twenty Days
Day Twenty
Twenty days into SurfAid's Make A Wave and this morning was looking like one of the more challenging days to hit that obligation and go surf. The forecast had numbers below 1ft and a stiff offshore breeze so a dead flat ocean wasn't out of the question. But, sometimes committing to get out there no matter the forecast has its benefits. There's waves, crowds are down... it's nothing amazing but I'd say it was worth a paddle.
If you want to support the Make A Wave campaign but don't know anyone participating, jump on to SurfAid's CEO and local legend Doug Lees page and give him a nod. He was one of the first out at dawn this morning and he even scored a couple of good ones.
Enjoy.
