Vanishing Point

Saturday, Sunday and today couldn't be more contrasted. From clear blue skies, light winds and hot sunshine, to thick sea mist and summer heat and now overcast and windy; we've seen some scene changes. Of the days, yesterdays was the most bizarre as a thick sea-mist rolled in off the Tasman blanketing the beach and making the headlands and Norfolk Pines disappear. The mist got so thick at one stage you couldn't see the waves breaking.

This morning the weather has taken a fresh, cool direction with strong southerly winds. It's actually a very pleasant relief from the heat of last week but not ideal for surfing. It was just surfable on the high-tide at first light... maybe it'll improve as the tide drops.

The week ahead is looking like smallish waves and onshore winds ranging from ESE to NE. Fingers crossed for a couple of offshore morning sessions.
