First Out

There's a bump on the ocean this morning! It's only small but after 7 days of flatlining even the tiniest pulse of energy on the Tasman is something to get excited about. It's waist-high now and hopefully building slightly through the afternoon. The charts are showing a couple of days of small south swell followed by the potential to flatline once again... better get out there!

We've had an incredible run of flatness the last week or so. I cant remember a prolonged period of tiny to flat conditions like it. Maybe it's a sign that the last of the La Niña energy has left our side of the Pacific and from now on we'll be relying on the south swells spinning out of the southern ocean for our fix of swell. The good news is that water clarity is at all-time levels, even today's little pulse of swell shouldn't disrupt the clarity over by Manly Point and Cabbage Tree Bay. Go stick your head under!

Catch ya tomorrow...
