Bizarre
What a bizarre 48 hours on The Beaches. A couple of stinkin' hot days, a mini cyclone wreaking havoc and the most memorable sunsets of all time to sign off on the weekend. My thoughts and condolences go out to those affected by the chaos of yesterday afternoon's storm. It's hard to reconcile one of the great ironies of nature that indelibly links beauty and destruction.
The same weather that caused such powerful destructive forces also creates the circumstances for the most spectacular light and beauty - did you catch it? Rainbows, dark clouds and the most phenomenal of light. No photos... I was surfing through the whole thing. This morning's sunrise was almost a burner too; if only the sun could sneak out and set the sky alight. All the clouds were there but without the ignition it never really got started.
There's fun waves about today with a neat little ENE swell and a light southerly. Good direction and decent winds, there'd be options the full length of The Beaches.
Ok, enough waffle. Those of you that are still working have probably got heaps to do.
