Another cracker Autumn sunrise to kick off the week. This one was deep, dark and rich with vibrancy; a hard one to capture the full range of colour and tone without blowing the highlights or making the picture look like one of those weird HDR (high dynamic range) pictures. If you were down on the beachfront shooting with your phone and it wasn't quite capturing the full glory, try sliding your exposure down. Photography rule of thumb - exposure for the highlights. 

Feels like a hint of East in the swell this morning and it's a sweet relief from the south swell closeouts we've had of late. There was enough shape in the waves to even tempt me out for hour of exercise early. Light offshore winds all day...
