Sensational morning out on the sand and in the water! After an initial glow of colour in the high clouds the sun emerged with a little extra zing to it. I was shielding my eyes and searching for some shade by 7am, I reckon it must have hit 20 degrees on the beach very early on. It's time to don the floppy hat and sun-shirt for my morning musings.

There's a fun, peaky wind swell out there today. It's shoulder-to-head-high on the sets and seems to be working far better with the high tide banks than yesterday's south swell.
