Cheery
Wintery
It's cold and wintery with fresh sou'wester's and heavily laden rain clouds passing by overhead. Every now and then the sun found a gap and spread a little autumn sunlight over the sand... but those moments were brief. The cheery news is that there's fun little waves out there this morning and it's reasonably peaky given the south direction of the swell.
The WSL Challenger Series event up the road at Narrabeen got under way yesterday and the women are in the water as I type. Queenscliff's Alysse Cooper advanced in Heat 1 this morning while North Steyne's George Pittar had a cracking heat yesterday and will surf in Heat 1 of the Round of 64 when that gets underway. From tomorrow onwards conditions are looking ok... fingers crossed it turns on up there!
