Monotone morning with light winds and glassy conditions, it wasn't a photogenic morning but the waves are a very surfable. It's shoulder-to-head-high, fun and peaky. The swell looks mostly ENE from what I could see but apparently there's a bigger south swell running so it might even be a touch over head-high at south-facing beaches.

Huge congratulations to Queenscliff local surfer Winter Vincent for his second place at the QS event in Newcastle over the weekend. The result lands Winter a place in this year's Challenger Series where he'll join North Steyne's George Pittar vying for a place on the Championship Tour. How good!
