Changing Light

Dawn Glow

This morning's sunrise was a three part series; pre-dawn glow, first light and then a second wave of beautiful morning light as the sun rose above a line of clouds just above the horizon. All three stages came with different colours and contrast and lit up a sky scattered with an interesting mix of clouds. It's the kind of show that keep us waking up everyday so we don't miss an episode. 

Feels like there's a little more swell on the Tasman today; the forecast is for a little bump in mid-period east swell. At first light the high-tide banks weren't really working, unless you were a grommet on a foamy prepared to hit the sand. Maybe check back in at mid tide, should be something surfable sometime somewhere...
