Fools Gold
Don't attached too much weight to the photos this morning. It might look good but it's fools gold out there, I promise. I reckon I only saw half a dozen makable waves the whole morning; and I was out there for a while. First photo was 6:09am and that last photo of what looks like a nice peaky one was at 8:45am. Even the good ones were just slow closeouts. There's so much sand right now; way too much for this south swell.
Don't forget that social-distancing is still in place and the beach and park is open for exercise only. I saw the rangers, council community high-vis and police moving around the beaches this morning. Let's not get complacent.
This weekend, don't forget to support your local businesses. If you're going to spend all that spare-change you've been saving on commuting to the office, spoil yourself with a breakfast box and coffee from Barrel One, a new Patagonia jumper from BLAEK Store and dinner and a cocktail delivered to your lounge room by the guys at Belgrave Cartel. There's a heap of great local businesses worth supporting out there, I'm sure you have your favourites too.
