Catch Up

Half Dome

It's been a little while since my last post. Been busy? Under the weather? Holiday? Yep... a little bit of all of the above. Plus, the waves have fairly lacklustre of late (except for that Saturday of the long weekend when it was cooking everywhere). Anyway, let's get caught up with a few things that have happened and/or are happening.

The biggest news on the beach this morning was the qualification of North Steyne's George Pittar to the WSL World Championship Tour in 2025. He did it with some stellar early results, hard work, commitment and a little bit of help from Queenscliff's Winter Vincent in the end. Congratulations George - and well done Winter!

Speaking of North Steyne and Queenscliff, those two esteemed Boardrider Clubs are coming together for the first ever "Pipe Masters" this Saturday.  It's local vs local in a rivalry that has spanned generations. No idea who's going to win but the afterparty is guaranteed to be a fire-cracker!

Tonight Patagonia are hosting a screening of Belinda with Belinda Baggs and Tully White at the Manly Store. I think all spots have been taken however there's always room to stick your head in the door (don't tell them I said that!)

Next weekend the Surf Hops & History Festival is happening at Bennett Surfboards and Brooky Surf Club - tickets still available!

Oh, and the waves were pretty fun this morning... first offshore in a while. That's all from me!
