How about that heat yesterday? Wow, what a day! Outside was like an oven and the ocean the only escape. Even the shade of Manly's famous Norfolk trees wasn't enough to beat the heat. The beach was packed full of people not wanting to go inside well after sunset and the warm offshore winds were offering up some pristine evening waves the length of the beach... I didn't venture inside until the relieving southerly started up just before 9pm.

This morning it's cooler with a light trailing southerly. Waves are a touch wind-ruffled but the direction is good and there's shape to the waves. Worth a paddle? Yeah I reckon.

We're heading into a warm weekend; tomorrow's going to be over 30 with light westerlies.
