Today is the Summer Solstice. That means in Sydney there's 14 hours and 24 minutes between Sunrise and Sunset.  Add dawn and twilight and you've probably got an extra hour of daylight on top of that.  Plenty of time for work and play! Waves were small this morning but the wind is light and there's bucket loads of sunshine; you wouldn't regret a surf or at least a swim.

It may even get better on the incoming tide which is right about.... now.

Did you catch the Nazaré Challenge last night? I could hardly watch as surfers dropped down 30ft+ beach breaks in Portugal - frightening!  At the end of the day, former Gold Coast lifeguard Jamie Mitchell thrived and took it out.  You can see the highlight here
