Cornered
Corner Rise
Considering the forecast, it wasn't too bad a start to the week down on the sand. Showers are on their way for the next couple of days so a quick blast of sunshine at sunrise was a decent outcome for the early starters.
There was no escaping the onshore winds, even deep in the south corner. Surfing options were limited to small onshore dribble with barely any appeal. The only hope for a decent paddle today is if wind backs off when the rain sets in. Other than that, I say get your surfing fix by catching up on the action over in Portugal. Aussie Callum Robson score a heavy tube and the first 10 pointer of the season.
Don't fret, there's plenty of sunshine and warm weather later in the week.
