It's that time of the year when it all happens down on the beach in the mornings. This morning Rolland was on hand with Trish his go-anywhere, bio-powered, clean-up camper/coffee cart conducting an Emu Parade, the Queenie groms were out in Christmas attire plus all the usual suspects were getting amongst the chaos and a fresh little bump in south swell.

The waves are bigger today although I can't say for sure that they're better. Much of the swell is coming in straight while the extra energy is powering up the rips in turn adding a turbulent texture to the line up. Finding a wave that was clean and running was a challenge, let alone finding one to yourself. I reckon the best place to be this morning was sipping coffee with Rolland and Trish in the carpark.
