It's a morning of mixed fortune out there today. You'll find there's no shortage of waves and plenty of push to the swell (3m @ 10sec). Problem is, it's mostly straight. But, every now and then, one comes in on a nice angle and grinds away at just the right speed to get tubed and make three turns to the beach. The trick is putting yourself in the spot for those ones and that spot ain't the carpark.

The next couple of days should have some moments as the swell eases back and adda a little more east to the angle. The wind looks reasonable friendly for the mornings too. 

It's that time of the year when you might start scratching your head wondering what to buy that special person with everything... I'm in the same boat.
