Sunshine, glorious sunshine: the beach was bathed in it and we were basking in the light and soaking up the rays this morning. That warm summer sunshine has been conspicuously absent from our morning routines of late so it was almost alarming to wake up today and see a sky free from the regular cloud blanket. The forecast is for a "shower or two", but for now, it's sunshine!

If good things come in threes then a light offshore and neat little east swell were making up the trinity for a sensational Friday morning of fun waves in warm water and a rare spread of sunshine. I lost count of how many times someone said to me, "how nice is this morning?!" Oh yeah, it was a cracker!

There's a sizeable south swell on the cards for tomorrow, we're taking 4m at 10 seconds, it'll be double overhead plus at the south facing beaches and smaller in the corners. Wind should be semi offshore for most of the morning too. Waves coming.
