Sydney's choked with smoke once again; eyes are sore, throats are scratchy, lungs are feeling it, and we're probably the lucky ones because our backyards aren't burning. I try and keep these posts on the positive side of the gage but there's a somber atmosphere hanging heavy in the air this morning with tragedy in NZ and the 87 fires still burning in NSW. Wouldn’t rain be nice…

Surfing today is going to add a little joy to your life. Aren't we lucky we can escape to the ocean; just don't breath too deep! We've got a neat little NE wind swell and the wind is forecast to be offshore until a southerly change this afternoon. Should be something to paddle into until sunset.
